Exclaim! is premiering two new SWS songs, “Space and Time” and “Momento”! Produced by Jason Corbett (ACTORS) at Jacknife Sound, these two tracks are from our upcoming 4-song EP which we will be releasing on March 21st. In addition to the EP, we’re excited to announce that we will be releasing a full-length album on September 13th. Check out our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages for regular updates!
Happy belated Halloween everyone! Not sure what you got up to last night, but we lived a childhood dream and performed as Duran Duran. Our bass player’s fingers will never be the same after “Rio”. Check out the gory footage from last night’s epic Halloween show at The Cobalt.
We’re super thrilled to announce that our cover of Tears for Fears “Head Over Heels” has won the $5000 first place prize fo 104.3 FM’s vanCover Contest! Huge thanks to Adam Vee who recorded and produced this track for us. Have a listen HERE and download the track for free!
After several months of writing and demoing new songs, we’re thrilled to be back in the recording studio with producer Jason Corbett (ACTORS) at Jacknife Sound. We’re currently tracking a brand new EP and a full-length album, both of which will be arriving in 2016. Check out our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages for regular updates!
We’re pleased to announce that our first show of 2015 will be on Tuesday, Feb 17th at The Fox Cabaret in Vancouver, supporting rising Canadian superstars The Elwins (“So Down Low”). This also going to be our last show with our lovely and talented keyboardist and singer Alexis, who is moving on to pursue her very cool solo project “Youngblood”. Hope you can come by and send her off in style!
Check out our brand new music video for the single “Hostages”. All of the taste, all of the calories. If you like what you hear, you can download the track for free! Thanks to Exclaim! Magazine for the online premier!
Our first show of 2015 is off to a BANG with the release of our much anticipated video for Hostages, from our latest album You Know Something We Don’t?
Come to the Cobalt for Come Friday’s event and check out our pals Owl Skowl release their shiny new 7″ as well. Plus it’s our main dude Hatch’s birthday bash, and I hear that the last person standing gets a lap dance from Owl Skowl’s Pascal and SWS guitarist Cory. Double tongue, double fun.
Basically going to be the best night ever to train ourselves to get back into the drinking saddle.
We’re featured in the latest episode of Dog’s Breakfast, performing a quick and dirty version of our song “Temporary Love Confession” (10:55 mark). Check out the show!
We are SO SO SO excited to announce our new video for the track Hostages is almost complete! Release party details will be heralded fresh in the new year… Stay tuned!
Very stoked to be playing this party at The Red Gate Arts Society on Saturday night for the one-year anniversary & release party of Send Me Your Sexts! Alongside us are some awesome bands (Dream Cars –Mode Moderne‘s Phil Intilé, Girlfriends and Boyfriends, & Doppelganger) Go-Go Girls, DJs & NEW sexts videos!
Sendmeyoursexts.com is both a service and an online video platform, that takes real life “sext” messages and turns them into hilarious short form web videos.
“..after spending some time watching them (Videos) – and getting to grips with their contents – I’d say that they’re basically funny sex scenes based on real (typed) conversations.” —VICE
“…videos made so far toe the line between sheer absurdity and deliberately awkward B-grade porn, revealing a strangely compelling meta-commentary on texting, sex and why human beings are now compelled to send messages like “yea I want ur cum to myself” to each other.” —DAZED
“The first brave souls to upload the screenshots of their sexts onto Eileen’s site were none other than star-crossed sexters, “Dylan & Kacey.” The resulting short film (NSFW), which features epic car sex, is dramatic, hilarious, and oddly meta. Filthy, typoed dispatches never seemed so masterful.” —NERVE
We’re performing this week for “The Peak Thursdays” at The Lamplighter Public House, presented by 102.7 The PEAK – World Class Rock and BeatRoute (BC). Cover is only $5. That’s like 50 cents a song. Loads of giveaways and drink specials too!
Our fifth full-length album, “You Know Something We Don’t?”, is now available on iTunes!
Hey look, its SWS performing our songs “Slaves to the Night”, “22”, and “Hostages” live at The Fox Cabaret. Big thanks to Julian and Lon at Shutter House Films for putting this together! If ya dig, you can download this song for free over at our Bandcamp.

We are super happy to announce that like our friend the groundhog, we are finally popping out from hiding in winter’s cave. We are just finishing up final masters for our new record (title to be released soon, though some potential titles were Sports II, Mike’s Long Schlong, Wasted Cory, and 3 out of 5 Dad’s Named Bob) all recorded at Fader Mountain with the wizardry of the one and only, Paul Boechler.
The first single we’ll be premiering in the nest few days, so stay tuned!

Well, we’ve probably had more strange articles written about us, but here our very own Alexis is the honourable first interview in the Snipe News‘ “Bands With Cats”. Here you can read about why no one should really like her chubby cat.
Our latest video has been picked-up by MuchMusic… Keep an eye out for it, should you find yourself wide awake at 4:00am, craving a McGriddle.
We couldn’t be happier to have been a part of the Save On Meats presents Common Courtesy Vol 1 Launch Party!!!! The compilation album was released last Thursday, the 27th, with all proceeds going to Kids Up Front (Vancouver). It was seriously an insane show. From the cops showing up, to Alexis smashing her tambourine on the ground thrasher-style (she says it was an accident, but we’re pretty sure she was momentarily possessed by Sid Vicious).
BIG UP’S to Adam Fink (from Gang Signs and every other band) and Jason Corbett (from ACTORS) for putting this together. I mean C’MON… 30 freakin’ songs from 30 amazing Vancouver acts! To the rest of the music world, I say “check mate”. Hope y’all take a listen to see what our great city has been stirring up. Take a listen here: http://commoncourtesy101.bandcamp.com/
Here’s the premiere of our brand new video “Behaviours”, courtesy of Exclaim! Thanks to our friends BKS Crew Productions Inc. and all of the actors involved! Lots to get crunk about between now and the end of March. We’ll be spinning Bill Cosby and Metalica at Save On Meats Sat. Feb. 23rd to celebrate our 6th anniversary. From there, we’re off to shoot a new video with our friends at BKS Crew Productions Inc. SWS will kick-off March with the release of a free remix EP for “Times Electric” and finish the month with another barf-inducing video release party at COME FRIDAY Mar. 29th!
We’re back! And we apologize about the delay. We have all been working really hard on our music, and we’ve also got real jobs (except Alexis who is still getting learned, and will probably be a transient forever) so we’ve kind of been too distracted to give our website the love it deserves. But no longer! Stay tuned for updates, because we’ve got some exciting things brewing…
We love you all.
